The Splendor with no slides is a great coach and one I would like to own.
Did you buy this new or used? Seems odd the AC goes out after such little use.
Thanks

Re: New AC on newer coach?
We have owned 3 motorhomes over the years, 1 Roadtrek and 2 Born Frees. ALL of our 3 coaches have had some problems in the first few months. As with any complex system, what I call infant mortality can occur. It happens with computers, cars and virtually any complex piece of equipment. For our first 2 coaches, the problems were easily fixed, either by Roadtrek or Born Free or the manufacturers of the individual components that failed, under warranty. One hopes that nothing goes wrong with a new coach, but something usually does! Thus is life.

Re: New AC on newer coach?
It's not as unusual as you might expect. One of the biggest killers of AC units is low voltage, and as campgrounds get more and more full, and their infrastructure ages, low voltage conditions are more and more common.
There are other things that stop AC units too... they have capacitors that fry occasionally... and I'm sure that power surges have done more than one unit in over the years as well. Of course, to you the owner, all you know is that your AC unit went out... you may never know why. There are still old Armstrong A/C units going strong on the top of '60s Airstreams though... so you just never know.
