Tank heaters
We are headed north in our 2015 coach that has tank heaters. Ignoring the obvious question of why are you doing that, we are currently in a location where the temps will go below freezing tonight. Does anyone have experience with the tank and valve heaters that are on the newer coaches? Like when do you turn them on? Thanks if you can help.

Re: Tank heaters
I don't have any good answer for the tank heaters but they can probably be turned on any time there is more than a few gallons of water in them and sub-freezing temperatures are expected. They operate on 12 volts so battery drain will be a consideration. The valve heaters should only be turned on for 10 minutes or less before you need to open the valves.

Re: Tank heaters
Thanks, Monti! We found the manual and it confirms your advice. The battery drain is important to know but we have shore power so we will turn the tank heaters on tonight. 22 degrees is too dang cold.
