Towed Vehicle

I am soliciting comments regarding the 2003-2005 Honda Pilot as a towed vehicle.
My understanding is that the 2006 and newer Honda Pilot cannot be towed without modification.
Does anyone have any experience or information about these particular vehicles and desirability and/or longevity and/or lack of problems or damage resulting from four down towing?
I love this forum. I have learned many great tips here. Thanks.
