First Time users so apologize in advance for any missteps.

Recently replaced the original house batteries in our 2014/2015 Royal Splendor and found some sort of an Out Back sensor that was originally mounted somewhere in the battery compartment. It is an FX series inverter/charger and we can't seem to determine exactly where this should be re-mounted. Anywhere on the inside of the compartment, directly on one of the batteries or does it matter? Also, what is the purpose, Does it sense the temperature in that area? Thanks for the help. Who knows, if this works, we may have other questions. Hope to see you in SD!

If it is a temperature sensor it should be mounted on the battery. Some have a lug that allows you to bolt it to a battery terminal. This is not an electrical connection. Others can be fastened to the battery side or top. It senses the battery temperature. The amount of charge a battery needs varies with the battery temperature. It's a good feature to keep your batteries in good shape.
