Are you the couple who visited our 2001 24RB at the Idaho LOW "open house" afternoon? We remember a couple mentioning that they were excited to see a Born Free at LOW, because they were waiting for delivery of their new 26RB.

Barbara and Ken:
Yes, we are the couple that you met at LOW in Idaho. You were both most helpful with suggestions at the time, and we've implemented several. We also incorporated your suggestion for adding carpet padding to the edge of the sofa that backs up against the front seats. Thank you, I think it makes a difference. Also appreciate your recent idea on the jack knife bed angle. Will work w/ that one now.

As to the weight differential, I suspect that the difference in underweight vs. overweigh has something to do w/ 24 ft. vs. 26 ft. Appears from this thread that other 26RB owners have comparable weights.

Hope our paths cross again.

Could the differences in weights between the two models be because of the locations of the holding tanks? In the rear bath models, both the toilet and lavatory empty into the black tank, and the shower and galley sinks empty into the gray tank. In the rear side bed models, the shower and toilet empty into the black tank, and the lavatory and galley sinks empty into the gray sinks.

By the way, we love using our Born Free in cooler weather, because there's no need to have AC when we're away for the day, and the cat is inside the coach. The Born Free is very air tight and the inside temp gets unbearable during hot weather, and we're forced to have electric hookups.

Enjoyed meeting you two in Idaho.
